Server Rack Spool Holder

This model comes in 4 different pieces. The Server Rack Attachment, Spool Holder, Spool Center, and the Filament Guide. 

Print recommendations:

• Try to use PETG or better but PLA should be okay.
• Gyroid infill. (Rectilinear may cause failed prints when printing the Spool Center)
• Supports from build plate only.

Assembly instructions:

1. Attach the Server Rack Attachment to your Mounting Rails. The top and bottom holes have been left open and given some space in the print. If you would like to use more than 2, it may be a tight fit but shouldn't be needed for a 1kg spool. 
2. Slide the Spool Holder into the slot on the Server Rack Attachment.
3. Slide the Filament Guide into the Server Rack Attachment and through the Spool Holder.
4. Attach 2 Ball Bearings to the Spool Center (one on each side) and rest it within the Spool Holder. 
5. Rest your 1kg spool onto the Spool Center and feed the filament though the filament holder.

8/27/2025 - After finding an issue with PLA on the original print where the lock would break between the Center and Rack Attachment (due to breaks between the layers), I have remodeled the model to print vertically and added a thicker neck to the Rack Attachment. New model is listed under the “V2 Up-Armored” folder.
