3D Printed Rods and Support

So I ran out of steel tube/rod for this design and only need a small piece. 

I decided to print the rods in PETG and add a support for the centre of the rod. They flex a bit but function adequately to hold in the filament.  

I'D ONLY RECOMMEND USING PETG OR STRONGER ON THE LOWER SUPPORT, PLA IS NOT SUITABLE.  

A stronger filament (ABS?) is needed if you want to do the upper filament holder. I haven't tried this yet.

This will require a high infill, I tried 60% but possibly 100% might have been better for the rod. The support is fine in PLA. I used a 0.2mm line thickness.
