Description
This case is designed to fit the mini version of Matt's USB 2.0 hub found on the Bigscreen Beyond Discord. It is meant to attach to the soft strap and will fit both the BSB1 and BSB2.
Recommended Print Settings:
Print in as oriented in the files
PLA+, though PETG could probably work
Nozzle: 0.4mm
Layer Height: 0.2mm
Infill: Not Applicable
Support: Not Applicable
Depending on how well your surface layers are, I would also recommend using a modifier in your slicer to iron the supports that the PCB rests on so that the button is spaced properly in the final assembly.
Assembly:
I found it easiest to insert the PCB top USB port first at an angle aligning the notches with the pegs in the case before pressing down on the rest of the PCB as shown in the video.
The top shell is just press fit and should hold on its own, but you could use a small drop of super glue on each post if it pops loose.
The clips when attaching to the shell are very aggressive and weren't designed to separate from the case once they are attached.
The thumb studs on the clips didn't interfere with any of the USB plugs that I have tested with it including a 90 degree plug. However if you want to use a plug on the top port that's particularly bulky and the studs get in the way, the clips can be attached the other way so that the thumb studs are on the opposite side of the case.
