Replacement Joint for Garden Chair (Backrest–Seat Connector)

This is a replacement joint for a garden chair, designed to connect the backrest and the seat. The original plastic part often breaks due to stress and outdoor conditions, so I modeled a stronger and more durable version.

The joint features a combination of cylindrical and curved surfaces to provide both stability and smooth movement of the backrest. The outer diameter is 36 mm with stepped inner holes (Ø9.7 mm and Ø24.7 mm) for proper fitting of a pin or screw.

I printed the part in PETG, which is tough and suitable for outdoor use thanks to its resistance to moisture and UV light. For even better strength and long-term durability, I recommend printing it in nylon (PA) with carbon fiber reinforcement.
