USB-C Ventilator for Dometic Midi-Heki in Camper/RV/Van/Caravan

A ventilator (fan) for the Dometic Midi-Heki (roof window) in Camper-Vans / RVs. Fits into roof windows with an inside width of 404mm.

Attention 1: 
Print in ABS/ASA for temperature stability!

Attention 2:
Print solid to prevent sun shining through.

Features:

• No soldering required
• No drilling, no modifications are needed on the RV/Camper/Van
• Window and pleats stay fully functional, the fan can stay in place all the time. Window can be opened and closed while the fan is attached.

Required parts:

• M4x35 (8x)
• M4 Nuts (8x)
• M7 Nut (1x) (as flat as possible)
• Thermaltake TT2030 A2030L12S Fans (2x): Link
• USB-C PWM Fan controller (1x): Link
• USBC cable
• Cable Tie

Assembly:

1. Connect the PWM cables of the fans in series
2. Place the fans with the cables pointing to the bottom
3. Use the M4 screws and nuts to assemble the 3D-Printed parts to the fans. Use the number for the correct order - 1 is top left, 2 is top center, …
4. Attach the PWM controller to the fans, remove it's button and stick it thru the center hole of part 2. 
5. Place the cable between the two fans to keep it in place.
6. Attach the M7 screw to the PWM controller to keep it in place.
7. Attach the USBC-Cable to the PWM controller and thread it thru the hole on part 3.
8. Use the cable tie to keep other cables in place

Ein Ventilator für das Dometic Midi-Heki in Wohnmobilen, Camper-Vans. Passt in Dachfenster mit einem lichten Maß von 404mm.

Achtung 1:
Drucke alle Teile mit ABS oder ASA, damit Temperaturbeständigkeit gegeben ist. Unter dem Heki wird es im Sommer recht warm!

Achtung 2:
Drucke die Teile mit massivem Infill, damit die Sonne nicht durchscheinen kann.

Eigenschaften:

• Kein Bohren, Kleben notwendig und keine Modifikationen am Camper notwendig
• Das Dachfenster und die Plissees bleiben voll funktionsfähig, der Lüfter kann dauerhaft eingelegt bleiben. Das Fenster lässt sich mit eingelegtem Lüfter öffnen und schliessen.

Benötigte Teile:

• M4x35 Schrauben (8x)
• M4 Muttern (8x)
• M7 Mutter (1x) (so schmal wie möglich)
• Thermaltake TT2030 A2030L12S Lüfter (2x): Link
• USB-C PWM Lüftersteuerung (1x): Link
• USB-C Kabel
• Kabelbinder

Zusammenbau:

1. Stecke die PWM-Kabel der beiden Lüfter zusammen
2. Platziere die beiden Lüfter so, dass die Kabel an der Unterseite rauskommen
3. Verwende die M4 Schrauben und M4 Muttern um die gedruckten Bauteile an die Lüfter zu schrauben. Oben Links = Teil 1, Oben Mitte = Teil 2, Oben rechts = Teil 3 usw…
4. Schliesse den PWM Controller an die Lüfter an, ziehe den Drehregler ab und stecke die Welle durch das mittige Loch in Teil 2.
5. Das Kabel zwischen die beiden Lüfter stecken
6. Die M7 Schraube auf die Welle der Lüftersteuerung aufschrauben um sie zu fixieren
7. USB-C Kabel anschliessen und durch die Öffnung in Teil 3 fädeln.
8. Übrige Kabel mit dem Kabelbinder fixieren.
