Description
I designed it to fit tightly enough that it doesn't need a clamp or other keeper mechanism.
Printed in PETG: 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm layers, 6 walls, 25% gyroid infill.
I did print it vertically with a 20mm brim for stability. The overhang was just enough that the underside of the grip is a little less smooth (uncalibrated PETG). It works out well because non-slip is helpful on a paddle. I did have random scarfed seams on to increase the texture a little. Also may add intentially grip lines on the inside curve after a few field trials …
All that said, next time I'll probably print it horizontally with supports, mainly for linear strength. Either way for a light-duty spare paddle, this is a perfect ergonomic handle.
If you need a diameter other than 24.1mm, join my club and let me know!
