Description
Update 25 August:
Even in the very good colorfabb filament this print failed due to poor Z axis bonding! I’m considering printing sideways with supports and annealing. Proceed carefully. Do not print in any standard filaments for use with hot water!
If you want a custom hole/drip pattern, let me know :)
I printed this with HT Clear from colorFabb. First day with it and I'm impressed! I tweaked the settings a lot but the final product shows zero softness or deformation from boiling temperature water (poured not submersed). I did model in almost 0.5mm diameter changes due to the tolerances I saw in this material.
Filament settings that I used:
Slicer settings:
Worked perfectly!
The filter cap won't work with other cap wrenches due to the removal of the deep side cuts in the original product. So I made a quick wrench with ~0.3mm offset. This should account for tolerances between different filaments but I have not tested that yet, so if you print the wrench in some other filament with different settings you may find it being too loose or too tight.
