Description
edit: Just added 2 “angle” files which increase the angle back by 7.5 and 10 degrees. I feel this is better than the straight vertical ones I had before but I have left the vertical ones just in case someone else prefers them.
I took the ally-grip-2024-beta-1 stl file and fixed all the scanning artifacts the original had.
These include (but not limited to) the edges, bottom (so that it prints flat), curves (more smooth curves and easier transitions), removed scanning artifacts and adjusted the fit. I used meshmixer to go over the entire object so now it prints quite well and you do not have to use a hobby knife to fix the edges.
I recommend using tree supports on the buildplate only for just the top back trigger area so that you don't have to worry about that area. It's possible to print that area without supports but depending on your printer, you may have issues.
I printed using a 0.4mm nozzle with 0.2mm layer height.
