Description
This is a complete redesign, from the ground up in Freecad, of my original Volvo Door Lock Ring that has been optimized for printing with a 0.4 nozzle and snuger in-the-door fitment. Also, with more control, and a lot of practice, i was able to recreate a more accurate part to the original.
Reason? It turns out, leaving your car outside in the heat of summer has the unintended effect of annealing your printed parts, hence the new part with tighter fitment to the door, and more sturdy and effective retention.
