Description
This is a remix of a microCT model of a raven skull (Corven corax) originally made available by the University of Dundee Museum Collections under CC0 license.
Print Settings:
I printed this raven skull in Sunlu matte PLA in bone white. Print settings include 0.12 mm layers and tree supports with 1 mm tip diameter at 20 degree threshold angle. I also use 2 Top Interface Layers and a Top Interface Spacing of 0 to make supports easier to remove but still be careful removing them--see arrows in slicer screesnhot! Matte PLA definitely helps make support removal easier as well. There will be some roughness around the foramen magnum but this can be smoothed with a torch.
Model is high detail and 1:1 scale so it can be used for educational purposes or scale up or print in fun colors for decorations.
I have also shared a Bambu profile on Makerworld if you would prefer that: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1738259-raven-skull#profileId-1847012.
