Description
The chain slider on our beat up old XT225 finally gave up the ghost. Ive been wanting to fix it, but it gets ridden a lot. Thankfully the old one broke off so the swing arm didnt need pulled.
This model omits the angle for the retainer plate, which best I can tell is supposed to keep dirt out of the swingarm bolt hole. I will probably make a plug for that. Doesnt look like it was doing a good job anyhow.
Its not 100% the same, I modeled rather than scanning, but pretty close. I may revise with testing. IF you try this model, please share your make and please let me know if you think changes should be made.
This might work on a TW200 but I am not sure, feel free to try
You can print this in PETG but I doubt you can fanagle it in without removing the swingarm. It would probably be loud too. If you wanna do that let me know and ill make one without the gaps.
Supports are terrible to remove, so I recommend adding a pause just before the part is printed over the supoprts. You can add some silicone or tape or sharpie marker to the supports to keep them from sticking.
To add a pause, slice the file and scroll to that layer, then right click on the bar and add a pause.
I am starting with 7 Walls, alternating an extra for strength and thickness mainly.
10% infill in most areas with the front filled at 100%. If I could do it over, I would probably print the whole thing with 100% infill.
Make sure your Top shell layers are thick enough to stop the heat pillowing. Recommend at least 5 layers, 2mm thick.
I have provided a 3mf file with modifiers to make the front bottom edge solid. It seems to have taken the most wear.
If you download this and use it, I would appreciate seeing the makes!
