Description
My car has a 50mm towball mount with a removable towball tongue. Normally when I'm not towing there is a blank plastic fill piece which sits in there. However on mornings where i go riding, i need to unload my bike and stand it somewhere while getting it set up and getting helmet etc.
So I created this towball receiver wheel stand. A small clip which will gently and safely hold your bike tyre for a few minutes. This is a parametric model in Fusion 360 which allows you to configure the tyre size and how “closed” the clip is (also, the through-hole can be moved if your receiver doesn't quite have it in the same place as mine. I've uploaded three fairly typical sizes for mountain-bike, gravel and road style types, but the parametric model means you can customize to your personal needs.
Print on the flat side as shown in the 3x f3d file or, alternatively it should work ok standing up on the hollow end (you may need to support or chamfer the collar slightly in that case). Recommend printing in ASA, PC Blend, or replacing regularly due to UV exposure if you're printing PETG/PLA.
(Photo shows a previous model I've been using for several years now.)
