MMU2 Underslung control panel mount

A challenge of the MMU design for those of us who use enclosures is that the lights are not visible without a view of the top of the unit.

This control box moves the control board to a better location that is both easier to see and easier to access. It also allows for printing optional diffusers for the LED's using clear filament (Originally intended to be printed as an MMU print, but there is another option for single mode printing as well)

There are no modifications required to the MMU pulley assembly or frame holders for this design. Please note that you will need to substitute longer screws as follows:

3pc M3 X 12mm machine screws to secure the MMU controller board
3pc M3 hex nuts (you can reuse the nuts from the original MMU controller cover)
4pc M3 X 30mm machine screws to attach the frame holders to their original mounting holes through this unit.

Print instructions

Printing the clear diffusers is optional but recommended because they are really nice.

Update 03/04/2023:  Since a lot of people were printing diffusers in single mode even though they weren't designed for that, I added a separate .STL for this purpose. This file has already been scaled down to 96% and is in suggested print orientation.  The diffusers should be pushed in from the front after printing. Thanks to KmanSweden for recommending this as an option.
