Design

This is an angled adapter with a 1'' inner thread on one side and a 1'' external thread on the other. I used it to not bend the hose for a 6000l/h water pump for our pond.

The adapter consists of two parts. The only reason it has been designed like this is to add extra stability to the inner thread. Two parts allow different printing orientations. They are needed to strengthen the low layer adhesion on the Z printing axis. By orienting the parts like shown in the slicer picture, the ring will stabilize the inner thread and keep it from being pushed apart.

Printing

Use PETG or ASA/ABS. Standard settings with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2 layer height is fine. In slicer, select support from built plate only. As an alternative, you can place a support box below the outer thread.
