Description
This a Mini Kar98k that is great for your desktop or to use as a fidget toy. Some slight dimensions have been changed due to scale.
It features:
The bayonet that can slot onto the front and is friction fit.
The ammo clip can slot into the gun.
The bolt is fully functioning.
Instructions:
Print in any orientation you want. It has plenty of details, so the better your printer the better it will look. So I appreciate any build pictures. My printer isn't the greatest, but it looks great in the hand and the lighting doesn't do it justice.
You will need a 3mm bolt inserted into the bolt parts to connect all the bolt pieces. I designed this to be tapped with a 3mm tap. So you may need to drill the bolt parts and use super glue if you don't have a tap. The left side of the action has a hole that can be tapped and a 3mm bolt or retaining screw inserted, to retain the bolt. Its not necessary, but you can see it and how the bolt parts go together below. The bolt has a cutout which should be on the left side. The front part and back part of the bolt need to be aligned with each other. While the handle should be free moving.
For painting the wood, I used a brown base coat. Then once dry used a black pen to etch the wood lines and used a water wetted paint brush to move to move the ink and give it more depth. Then re-did some of the wood lines with the pen to refine them.
