IKEA HEKTAR/MELODI Shade Mod

Using this adapter, you can utilize an IKEA MELODI pendant lamp with the IKEA HEKTAR floor lamp as a complete replacement for the shade.

This will allow the lamp to diffuse some of the light around the shade and not just under it.

I printed it in two pieces to avoid using supports, then CA glued them flat surfaces together, making sure to align the inner circles properly.

To install:

1. Remove the bulb and the plastic nut holding the metal shade by unscrewing it.
2. Remove the shade, replace it with the MELODI lamp shade.
3. Place the adapter through the light socket, it should be a snug fit. Sandwiching the Lamp body, with the shade in the middle. Rotate the adapter to align with the shade indentations.
4. Replace the plastic nut, screw it tightly.
5. Rejoice.
