Description
I printed this crouched Cthulhu idol in marble PLA, and I’m blown away by how well the stone-like finish hides layer lines. The design captures the ancient, weathered feeling of a statue that’s been buried for ten thousand years and just unearthed.
The folded wings, fused tentacles, and angular musculature make it sturdy while keeping the sculptural detail intact. It feels like something you’d find in a forgotten ruin. Equal parts myth, nightmare, and relic.
This print works beautifully at standard 0.2mm layer height, but you can scale it up for even more presence on a shelf or altar. If you’ve got marble, granite, or stone-flecked filament lying around, this is the perfect model to bring it to life.
