Description

So. First off, this print is not for the faint of heart (I mean, mine was faint, and it turned out freak'n awesome); What I mean is, it takes 550+kg of filament (over half a spool), so if your settings are "usually working" etc etc, you're going to be sad if it screws up halfway through.

I'm installing this prior to the well-below-0 temperatures outside. The location is one that never gets sun, so I'm not worried about it melting or whatnot. It was printed at 50% infill, with CUBIC set at the infill type; sucker is a tank.

It's meant to take a 2 inch pole. You can send the pole through the concrete that is already there by using a cement hole saw. If you decide to just put it in the flange (like I plan to do) just make absolutely sure you're securing the top to something (mine is against a house, which is why I dare do this out of PLA).

I'll return and report my results when a few months have gone by!

NOTE: I printed this at 99% -- you might get away with 98%. I would print the first layer (or at least abort the print after the center circle has been printed) and slide it over your pole to ensure a correct fit. 99% scale leaves room for it to spin and slide (in case you have some bends in the pole), but 98% or even 97% would mean wedging it on (which might be ideal for your situation). Again, print the first layer and go check it out.
