Parametric Box Folding Jig

What is this?

This model is used to to build out box flats more quickly. This parametric model will fold your boxes in the following steps:

1. Fold wings upwards
2. Fold over edges with wings
3. Fold up locking sides that cover wings

Neat! How do I use it?

Print the file sized to your box dimensions. Modify the parameters to fit the outside dimensions of your box. If you prefer not to print the model with separate prongs, you can roll back the timeline in Fusion to before the model bodies are split.

Once printed, you should secure the jig to something solid and follow these steps:

1. Grab both winged sides and hold the box flat tightly
2. Press down on to jig. The wings should fold upwards
3. Once the wings have folded upwards, press down on the center portion of the box
4. Fold over wing retaining sides and remove box once secured
