Description

Problem Overview

When using the Roomba i7, it frequently gets stuck between sofa legs and becomes unable to move. This is especially common with sofas that have gradually narrowing leg designs, where the Roomba ventures too deep and cannot escape.

Solution

The Roomba Guard is a simple 3D printed guard that attaches to sofa legs. Its strategic protrusions limit the Roomba's intrusion and prevent entrapment. It protects only problematic areas without compromising the Roomba's cleaning capabilities.

Print Settings

  • Material: PLA
  • Support: Not required
  • Raft: Not required
  • Standard settings work fine

Post-Processing

Don't forget to attach anti-slip sheets with double-sided tape. This ensures secure mounting on your furniture legs.

Usage

  1. After printing, attach anti-slip sheets with double-sided tape
  2. Install at the appropriate position on sofa legs
  3. Verify that the Roomba no longer gets stuck
