Description
This is a support for fitting smaller downlights in a pre-existing hole, the insert is added to the upper side of the hole and is glued or taped in place, it allows plaster to be added in the gap between the existing ceiling and the part to make a clean 72mm hole inside which is good for standard 67mm fittings, this is therefore a reducer to allow smaller fittings to be added to older cut holes, in my case 82mm down to 67mm.

Notes:
Simple print, yet to be put into practice but I'll add pix once I have! N.b the pic added so far is the first version, it has been refined slightly since. The part can be used either way up, as a fascia piece / size reducer on it's own (for which I'd suggest 1 to 1.5mm layers and print on glass) or as intended as a holding section for repairing plaster the other way up.
2 versions added, depending on plaster thickness, 12mm and 18mm.
The total ring diameter is 100mm, the outer tube section diameter is 74mm and all walls are 1mm thick.
This piece was designed in Tinkercad using their free online software.
