Description
I did a similar part with a pic rail and a short Arca section near the trigger a while back. I have started using my tripod all the time now, and wanted the Arca rail as long as I could while still accessing and removing the bottle. Obviously, for those who want to print flat, this is easier to support, however, it will take a big print bed, and the diagonal orientation improves surface finish uniformity and makes the part less likely to fail.
I spent some time working on overhang details to make the edges and interior surface details better. I have not printed it with the Bambu Slicer, and I had to put a fan bump on the Orca to get the fan up to speed in time for the overhangs, but properly tuned it prints really well.
I used Qidi PET-CF as usual because of the strength, toughness, heat resistance, low shrinkage and remarkable price it you buy it from them. I also did and earlier version in PETG and it seems to be fine but I am a bit concerned about using it on a hot day in the sun.
I have been using this for a couple of weeks and the similar one for over a year. They are light, stiff and strong and will not be the first thing on the gun to break in an accident.
The 3MF file is generic. I don't know exactly what that means. I would spend some time tuning for your rig before printing the whole thing. The bottom inch or so will let you know if your cooling is good enough for the overhang.
