Description
Imho the original opening pattern is a bad choice for good printability. I have reverse engineered the original casing (Shell r3) and changed the opening pattern so it is printable without supports. I reduced overhangs as much as possible, while still maintaining the original look. The cable opening in the back has a ring shaped hole witch can be used to zip-tie the usb-cable to the casing. You can use all other original parts (screws, boards, screens, sensors, etc.) that fit the original Shell r3.
The only challanging part to print that remains is the bridge for the screen opening. I would advise to use supports for this feature. The optimal supports for this bridge are included in the 3mf and gcode files.
This shell-remix can be printed in ASA for better heat resistance (this is what I did) if you do some tweaking of the filament settings (higher cooling and lower printing temperature).
If you have any suggestions for improvements, please let me know.
