Here's a fan shroud for the electronics panel of your Ender 3 NG v1.2 that is built to support fan grills!
To build this model, you'll need these 60 mm fan grills. Add eight M3 heat set inserts (from the Ender 3 NG v1.2 BOM), slip the grills into the pegs first, then slide the fan over them.
I found that the original shroud was loose on my electronics panel, so I made some slight adjustments to the depth of these shrouds so that they clamp together better. I also added some long pegs on the front shroud so that the countersunk screws are stronger when tightened.
This model includes the back fan shroud with and without the connector hole. For a “book build” with fan connectors, use the one with the connector hole. If you want to enjoy a connector-less panel that uses spring contacts like the picture below, you'll probably want to print the connector-less version.
