Description
This remix was created by a non-3D modeler as a quick and practical way to mount the new Tile 2024+ sticker onto a dog collar. Since the 2024+ sticker is square (unlike the previous round version), I couldn’t use the original model as-is. I found a square holder on Thingiverse and combined it with the original top and bottom pieces, then built up the edges with basic primitives for a functional fit.
This was a fast “hack job” done in Orca Slicer, so it isn’t the cleanest design. Most of the rough areas are on the side that won’t be visible, and they can be smoothed with sandpaper if needed. The fit is a bit tight since the original sides bleed inward due to more of them being selected than needed. The Tile did fit, but it required some effort, and the tension may cause flexing in the top, making screw installation slightly difficult. It all comes together with some work, but a more skilled designer could likely refine the fit.
The model does not feature a hole in the top by default. I added one by subtracting a 25 mm diameter by 10 mm height disk. I also adjusted the internal cavity slightly with additional negative space. These changes are all preserved in the attached 3MF file.
Brim ears were added for bed adhesion, but may not be needed, and supports were enabled for the screw recesses. The print was done at a 0.2 mm layer height. PETG is recommended over PLA for durability, though ABS would likely perform best if available.
If anyone with more modeling experience would like to create a cleaner remix, it would be greatly appreciated. The STL and Orca 3MF files are provided. The file "Tile Collar Case Bottom.stl" is also included separately as the original author’s work, though it is already embedded in the 3MF file for convenience.
