Description
Like seemingly everyone else who ever bought an IKEA Markus chair, I found the armrests too tall to fit under my desk.
Since I felt like I also didn't need armrests(corner desk), I decided to go with simple handles instead. And since I am a big dude and I like putting my weight on my hands while I change seating posture, I wanted handles sturdy and comfortable enough to accomplish that.
Print settings:
Layer height: ~0.2
Infill: ~25%
Perimeters: ~3-4 (@0.4mm nozzle)
Top and bottom layers: ~7
Support: Only needed for the bolt holes, suppress it everywhere else.
Brim: Can probably print them without, but probably a good idea to use them since bed adhesion surface is not very large.
Installation:
Use the included bolts for the original armrests. If using brims, put the printbed side inwards to hide any slight defects from cutting/sanding. Make sure the holes in the cloth lines up with the threaded tabs before mounting the handles.
