Description
This is a model that I'm so glad is large. I made this by hand starting with a UV sphere and then just playing around with extrusions then adding the eyes, arms and beefy legs. This made use of lattices and armatures quite a bit as well. This took quite a while to do and I'm pretty happy with the results. The pseudo maze on his head was a fun random thing to add too (although it's not a functional maze at all!). Overall I tried to stay faithful to the reference image (in case you lookup Decaton Modrons you'll see what I mean) while adding my own personal touch.
For FDM printing I've attached a 3mf file which I'm using for my test print at 0.2mm - I might try a resin print but right now I've got transparent green in there so and I don't want to print this guy in green :) - you'd want to hollow him out as well. Holes could be added underneath him or on his sides or in the maze on top without much aesthetic issue.
I'll post the make when it's done too.
Update: Make was printed from the attached 3mf file - I'm pretty happy with the results. Support removal was tedious so I might create a version where arms can be printed then attached separately.
Thanks for following along.
