Description
My youngest child broke the proximal phalanx on his fourth digit and the splint provided by the clinic was essentially a plastic popsicle stick with foam attached. The foam became instantly dirty and began to fall apart, so I wanted to print a more durable splint. However, most models do not stabilize the finger from bending at the hand, just from bending along the finger. When this one is taped so that the flat plate is in the palm area, the finger is prevented from moving.
I printed this in PLA with enough walls that it was essentially solid.
