Description
The X hunter comes with a rear rack, which is nice, but I don't ever use it, it makes annoying rattling sounds, and weighs 2 whole kg. So what if we got rid of it? Easy enough to remove, but then there's nowhere to put the rear light!
See that oval hole on the bottom of your bike seat?
Well, print the plug I designed and it'll look like this!
It just so happens those holes are the right size to self tap thread some M3x8mm screws, which you can then use to screw in either the long arm or the short arm for mounting the light to, like this:
Finally, you can use the nut and bolt that previously held your light on to screw it into the 3d printed slots provided, like this:
Cable routing is left as an exercise for you.
Given this is going into a high vibration environment, I am unsure how well it'll hold up. Assuming I find it doesn't hold up well, I'll probably design a V2 with larger bolts. I recommend printing using a heat resistant strong material like PETG or ideally very stiff TPU.
Print with 4 walls, 30% cubic infill, I suggest.
