Description
Cap screw with M12 threads, meant as an end cap for 15mm rods commonly used for video/cinema cameras.
The hat of this screw will be larger than 15mm on purpose. I created this to serve as a safety backstop for any rod attachments that might come loose and slip out, like front handles or a battery plate. My own handles have a 15mm rod attachment that is difficult to get tight enough, and feels like it might slip out at any moment.
NOTE that not all rods with threads use M12 thread. It is the most common one as far as I know, but I have one random no-brand pair for instance that has a different thread, and is not compatible with my other ones which are M12. So check yours first. If it's very hard to screw in, the thread is not M12.
