Camera Rocker

I found a camera rocker design on Cults3d, but it was 15€ so I couldn't be bothered to pay that much for such a simple design. I made a very similar one at first, but then realized it was not simple at all. The circle has to be big enough that the center of gravity of the camera falls below the center of the imaginary circle in the rocker. So the first models that were similar to the one on cults failed cause it wasn't stable. V7 seems good enough to fit most camera rig weights so I'll call it done. Only 17 steps in Fusion but took 6 prototypes to get right. My personal kit is a fully rigged BMPCC with a 150wh V-mount battery and 7" monitor etc, and it weighs about 5.5kg, and it's fine on this.

Instructions for use if unclear:

1. Screw to the bottom of the camera
2. Put the camera with the rocker on the floor
3. Use wedges to freeze the tilt angle. If you don't have any, I have a model here.
4. Enjoy your very low angle shot with tilt control and leveled roll angle.

Printing:

• Use variable layer height to make the curve smooth
• At least 3 walls, more is always stronger
• I printed mine from PLA for now and it feels ok but probably PETG preferred
• You can add a modifier around the screw slot to have that area with more walls, or around 16 bottom shell layers to make it very strong. You don't want to crush that area by overtightening so that should help
• Infill gyroid or cubic 20% or more
