Ehemalige katholische Kirche "Zum heiligen Blut" in 35684 Dillenburg-Frohnhausen

Das Modell der ehemaligen katholischen Kirche „Zum kostbaren Blut“ (Rheinstraße 8, 35684 Dillenburg – Frohnhausen) ist das fünfte einer Reihe von Modellen profanierter, umgebauter, umgewidmeter oder abgerissener Kirchen der katholischen Pfarrei Zum Guten Hirten an der Dill. Das Modell soll ehemaligen Besuchern, die in der Kirche getauft, gefirmt, getraut wurden und anderen Interessenten - über Fotografische Darstellung hinaus gehend - zeigen, wie die Kirche und ihre Nebenräume einmal ausgesehen haben. Deshalb ist das Modell so zerlegbar, dass auch der Innenraum nacherlebt werden kann.

Das Modell entstand im Maßstab 1/100, ohne dass ich die Kirche je gesehen hatte, anhand der Originalpläne des Architekten und Fotos vom Zustand um den Zeitpunkt der Profanierung.

Nachdem das CAD-Original erstellt war, wurden in einer Kopie einige Merkmale zum Zweck besserer Druckbarkeit modifiziert (z.B. Türen so “aufgedickt”, dass ihre Stärke im Original 8-16 cm entsprechen würde.) Im Slicer wurden alle Teile auf den Maßstab 1/75 vergrößert (133%), um (unter vollständiger Nutzung de Bauraums des Prusa XL) das Modell möglichst robust zu gestalten.

Da die relativ großen Fensterfronten der Kirche und der Nebenräume sowie die vielfach durchbrochenen Nord- und Südwände des Turms nur flach auf dem Druckbett liegend ansehnlich gedruckt werden können, musste das Modell mit besonders vielen steckbaren Komponenten gestaltet werden. Die Abbildungen zeigen für die Gebäudeteile daher die Komponenten und die zusammengesteckten Gebäudeteile.

Das Modell eignet sie sich auch für Modelleisenbahnen. (Der Maßstab 1/87 für H0 wird erreicht, wenn im Slicer 115% eingestellt werden.)

The model of the former Catholic church “Zum kostbaren Blut” (Rheinstraße 8, 35684 Dillenburg – Frohnhausen) is the fifth in a series of models of secularized, converted, rededicated, or demolished churches belonging to the Catholic parish of Zum Guten Hirten an der Dill. The model is intended to show former visitors who were baptized, confirmed, or married in the church, as well as other interested parties, what the church and its adjoining rooms once looked like, going beyond photographic representations. For this reason, the model can be dismantled so that the interior can also be experienced.

The model was created on a scale of 1:100 without me ever having seen the church, based on the architect's original plans and photos of the condition at the time of deconsecration.

After the original CAD model was created, some features were modified in a copy for better printability (e.g., doors were “thickened” so that their thickness would correspond to 8-16 cm in the original). In the slicer, all parts were enlarged to a scale of 1/75 (133%) in order to make the model as robust as possible (while making full use of the Prusa XL's build space). 

Since the relatively large window fronts of the church and adjoining rooms, as well as the multiple openings in the north and south walls of the tower, can only be printed flat on the print bed, the model had to be designed with a particularly large number of plug-in components. The illustrations therefore show the components and the assembled building parts for the building sections. 

The model is also suitable for model railways. (The 1/87 scale for H0 is achieved by setting 115% in the slicer.)
