Description
Split apart, strum together.
Splitters Ukuleles are a new take on a classic instrument: a fully 3D-printable ukulele that comes apart into two halves, top and bottom, while staying strung and ready to play.
Each half screws together in 4 or 5 places, with 3d printable caps, creating a solid and reliable body that holds tension while still allowing you to split it open whenever you like. This makes the ukulele fun to customise.
Currently with 5 unique tops and 8 unique bottoms, you can mix and match your prints to create up lots of unique ukulele combinations. You can even swap in a new design without restringing.
The neck is attached to the body with a M6-1.0 x 30 mm Hex Socket Screws and Nuts and suitable washers.
You will also need some friction tuners - I used these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SUCHUANGUANG-Ukulele-Strings-Machines-Friction/dp/B0D8XNS9Y8
And some strings!
