Description
The dirty little secret of filament funnels for the XL is that they push the input point of the filament forward and have a sharp edge, so they can have lots of feed issues, especially with flexible filaments, and especially for filaments on the lowest spool on each side of the printer.
I specifically designed a funnel profile that has a large, rounded exterior to give the filament a smooth path to enter the feeder. I have also rounded all edges contacting filament and chamfered other edges to allow a simple print with no supports required.
Recommend printing with 0.4mm nozzle with 0.15mm layer heights on a speed profile. For me, that meant a print time of about 7 minutes using 15% Support Cubic infill.
STEP file provided for high quality slicing. It should import perfectly into any modern slicer. Just print with the fat end down.
