Palm Trees 1:400 Scale

A smaller thing I designed for a tall ship diorama I was working on that turned out pretty well I think.

Only suitable for FDM since it requires bending the printed leaf sections. Check the guide below for assembly. They are a bit on the thick side as far as the trunk goes at this scale, so you can try scaling them down on the X and Y axis to try and make them thinner in case your printer can handle it.

Notes:

You'll need to print one set of leaves.stl per tree trunk. Take care when removing the leaf sections from the build plate.

Post-Printing

I suggest using a lighter (or a jet lighter for less soot) to slightly soften the inner part of the leaf plates and bend the leaves up or down depending on their location. Then stack and glue them onto the stem in order of size.
