Description
With thanks to Plexi for his original model, I have remixed it to better suit my own application.
This remote control caddy is longer than Plexi's original to facilitate the alignment of the label holding backplate that I've also included. The caddy also has a couple of grooves to accommodate the small standoffs/feet on the back of the remote control, so that it slides in and out of the caddy more smoothly. The backplate has slots for labels to slide into and aligns the labels with the buttons on the remote control (This only works correctly for the variety of remote controller that I have, where the 5 pairs of On/Off buttons are in two straight lines down the centre of the controller - see photo). Once fixed, the caddy prevents the labels from sliding out (remove the caddy from the wall to change the labels). The label holder backplate and remote control caddy are held together with the same fixing screws that hold to the wall, but can be fitted on either side, left or right, dependent upon need (one bracket on either side is possible too, with a small modification to remove the edge of the rearmost backplate that is furthest from the label holder slots).
Labels need to be 10.5mm x 24mm to slide into the slots in the backplate.
