Description
I wanted a light weight solution for mounting the DJI Focus Pro to my set of 3 DZO Film Pictor Zoom Lenses. Luckily, these lenses have optional lens support brackets. Lens support is very important but when I'm using the DJI Focus Pro on my RED Komodo with the DJI RS4, I use the lens support system that DJI provides which mounts to the front of the baseplate so these two M3 inserts which would hold the lens support brackets are empty. It just so happens that they're a perfect place to mount the DJI Focus Pro and that the position is the same across all 3 of my Pictor Zoom lenses.
I designed this to take an M3x20 screw and press fit into a lock nut for the thumb screws and there should be a reasonable amount of clearance for your fingers to tighten the bolt. I only had regular nuts for the photo but trust me you need a lock nut.
I printed this from black ASA and scaled up for my particular brand of ASA shrinkage. When you get it right it should fit nice and snug and the unit doesn't slip.
Here's a video of how I have a very, very heavy setup balanced but still use focus and zoom motors, the lidar unit, and a wireless transmitter. Feel free to look at my other models if you need similar solutions.
