Filament Toggle (stopper)

It is getting more common to have filament spools stay stored in their dryboxes. As such, the end of the filament sticks out of the PTFE bowden tube and it would be bad if it slipped back in. This thing prevents exactly that from happening.

Printing : Whatever. I made mine in PETG, 100% infill.

BOM:

4/1.75 Bowden 10-12mm in length
m3x10 or m3x8 thumbscrews (m3x10 or m3x12 for the m3x5 brass inserts)
m3x3 or m3x5 brass inserts

Instructions:

1. Print it (m3x3 or m3x5)
2. Cut a 4/1.75 PTFE bowden tube to a length of 10-12mm. The Capricorn bowden tube is not recommended here because it is too difficult to pinch
3. Insert the cut bowden tube
4. Seat the threaded insert. Make sure it is nice and secure because the thumbscrew will be working against it
5. Screw in an m3x10 or m3x8 thumbscrew (the m3x8 barely makes it)
6. Insert the end of the filament and tighten the thumbscrew until the bowden tube clamps it down so it doesn't move.
