Description
From my original Pill Box series, by request I have added a double pillbox version for AM and PM dosing that can either be magnetically attached or glued together.
You'll need: 8 3x2 magnets, 6 8x3 magnets 2 m2 threaded inserts, 2 m2x4 Torx screws, and Locktite superglue (all from Amazon). You can use hex screws but at m2 size they suck- Torx heads don't strip out as easily (talking from experience here).
Make sure polarity of magnets attract before gluing or you will have to destroy the print to get the magnets out.
If you don't want to use the 8x3 magnets you can glue the sides using the 8x4.8 cylinder guides included in the print. The 3x2 magnets help keep the top closed but are not completely necessary.
1. Glue sides on without the roll-top installed. Use clamps if able
2. “Less is more” don't get any glue in the roll-top track when gluing the sides on or your pillbox will not work smoothly.
3. Once the sides are glued in and dried (couple hours should be good) you can slide on the roll-top.
It is very important that your print is clean otherwise the roll-top may not work smoothly. I usually hit the “stringies" with a butane torch and wipe bits off if any.
I printed multi color sides, roll-tops, and blocks on Prusa XL and the main bodies on a Prusa Core One but can be printed on most printers. You can customize the print using the .3mf file. I personally like printing the big parts separately just incase of a printer issue, or failed print you don't lose all the parts in one go.
