Description

There aremany other designs that accomplish the same thing, but here's my spin on LED brackets and strip holders that don't require you to disassemble your machine or use screws!

Included in the download are straight (0 deg) and angled (45 deg) brackets that twist into the aluminum extrusion so nothing else is needed to assemble this. Just slip the brackets into the slot on the extrusion and press in while twisting 90 degrees to lock them into place.

There are are two versions of the LED strip holders. The "open" design can be printed out of any color/material. The "closed" design can be printed out of natural or clear filament to act as an LED defuser. The strip holders are 170mm long as designed, which fits perfect on the back of the X gantry, but you can use your slicer to scale them (length only!) to any length you want.

As shown in the photos, I printed the 45 deg brackets (A and B) and "closed" design LED strip holder mounted to the backside of the X gantry.

The 24V LED strip I used is by "JOYLIT" on Amazon, the "Daylight" color temp. Search Amazon for: B08MX6JKYQ This LED strip doesn't require a voltage regulator and has a high density of LEDs for very bright light. The strip is cuttable every 50mm, so 3 segments/150mm works great on the back of the X gantry.

I printed the brackets that twist into the aluminum extrusion out of Duramic PLA+ Gray and the "closed" LED strip holder out of Novamaker PETG clear.
