R2D2 Astropixels Greebles kit

This kit is made to enhance the Astropixels light kit for the Mr Baddeley R2D2 

This kit contains all the part I made to make the Logic displays, PSI and Holos look better on my Mr Baddeley R2D2. 

IMPORTANT: Some parts require to add a filament change in your print (to change from transparent filament to solid color filament). The use of a smooth PEI plate is recommended for optimal look and feel. Use glue stick to prevent the PETG to stick too much. Some parts have thin layers and they might break so be gentle when taking them off the plate.

Filament used:

PETG (use the recommended temp for your filament) , Transparent PETG (Disable the part cooling fan, print at 250c). 

Print settings: 

Front PSI 

• 0.2 Layer height, 
• 30mm speed for the initial layer

Start with Transparent PETG  and swap to solid PETG at layer 23 (4.6mm)

Rear PSI

Same settings as Front PSI except the filament swap is at layer 19 (3.8mm)

Stencils

I used Transparent PETG for all of them. If you find the result is too faint when you shine light through them, use a solid color PETG for the top layer (see example with the Rebel and Empire Stencil in the provided images). A 0.4 mm nozzle  is required for the stencil.

• 0.2 Layer height, 
• 30mm speed for the initial layer

PSI Diffusers (Front and Back)

Use White PETG. White PLA also works. 

PSI bezels

Regular PETG 

Logic displays (Front and back)

The first layer uses transparent PETG and swap to black PETG for the rest of the print.

• 0.2 Layer height, 
• 30mm speed for the initial layer

Holoprojector diffuser

Its simply 2 layer of Transparent PETG. 

• 0.2 Layer height, 
• 30mm speed for the initial layer
