Description

Extends the frame of the core one, to fit other things in there if you want. Like the reverse of the normal side sheet metal. Designed to fit more modifications in the sides

Print the frame pieces, which are unfortunately not all identical becasue the hole isn't an exact square hole. I recommend printing the gaskets too, for sealing the printer. I used TPU 82 for the gaskets, and PCCF for the frame. I would recommend using a CF filament for asthetic purposes. Asemble frame using 1 m3 bolt and nut + 1 wedge piece. Mounting the frame and metal plate to the core one requires 21 m3 x 6 bolts, and I would reccomend using low profile ones.

The side plate is meant to be made with metal. Use Send cut send or Oshcut. I couldn't find a match for Prusas powdercoating and it is quite expensive to get parts powder coated. I decided to use 1mm thick aluminum from Oshcut, which can be bead blasted and is inexpensive, and it fits with the asthetic.

There are 2 DXF files, one blank and another that has a grid of holes with a slot. This is supposed to be used for a chamber heater/filtration system im working on that uses a different plate.

Parts used:

  • Sheet metal (Cut by someone else)
  • M3 heat set inserts
  • 4 M3 Locknuts
  • Low profile M3*6
