Lost your Ripper canopy? Went over 100mph and it flew off, never to be found?
Did an unexpected water landing but never recovered the hatch?
Oh, not me. Totally not me.
Prints in ~5h. I used lightweight-pla (aka LW-PLA) that foams as it prints and makes parts 1/3rd the weight.. resulting in my replacement cover weighingless than 16g.
I also printed this with my favorite filament, HT-PLA+ with just 1 wall, 6% infill and was only 29g! And it’s super pretty transparent purple to boot.
Either print in halves and glue together or print with support and very vertical.
I've designed a aerodynamic nose, servo covers, and replacement hatch as well, check out my Ripper/F-01 collection!
Please post 'em! Really! Take a cameraphone photo of your print in all its glory and show it off! Plus it really helps get this design out there to the world.
