Description
What happens when eggs are left behind at an ARC practice Launch? Use this surrogate or practice egg to launch and collect data.
PROCESS:
In your slicer of choice adjust your infill, perimeters, and whatever settings you need to create the proper mass. I suggest a small brim and some small supports.
For my egg using PLA, I chose 3 perimeters thickness, 70% infill, and a grid pattern to create this simulated egg that weighs 58 grams. Using a scale to double check, apply any correction weight, and verify mass before launching.
Yes, the egg is medium resolution polygons, but it meets NAR and American Rocketry Challenge ARC dimensional standards. You will definitely pick your mass and tweak settings to produce it. But you won't break any yolks.
