About

Found old flexible hose and decided to adapt it to the Dyson V8 (or compatible).
This allows you to use Dyson V8 and then attach a hose to it (the direction is important). Then if the hose has a 32mm pipe with a metal pin lock on the end you may be interested in https://www.printables.com/model/1741402-32mm-vacuum-hose-with-metal-lock-pin-to-dyson-v8

The hose origin is unfortunately unknown to me (probably Philips?).
The diameter of the stiff part of the hose is 38mm after removing any excessive plastic parts.

I used https://www.printables.com/model/151972-dyson-v7-v8-v10-v11-v15-vacuum-bag-adapter as a base and added wider pipe on top of it.

Please like, create makes and add comments also to the original model, thanks!

Dimensions:

  • pipe diameter 38mm

  • insert depth 40mm

Changelog:

  • 2026.05.31 - additional photos and improved documentation

  • 2025.10.05 - initial release

Print:

  • print vertically, supports minimal.

  • 0.2mm layer 0.4 nozzle, 4 perimeters recommended (or all perimeters)

  • PETG recommended

Assembly:

  • read before assembly

  • remove any plastic fragments from the hose, make it smooth

  • heat up the part so it is more elastic - use hair dryer or hot air around 200C, this way it will be easier to slide it in onto the hose

  • put on the hose while it is warm

  • when it cools down then it will clamp on the hose without requiring any glue
