Description

Experimental vertical hydroponics system I have designed for growing Herbs indoors.

Things you will need for the assembly:

  • M5x40 button head cap screws (x18)

  • M5 nuts (x18)

  • M8 threaded bar (730mm minimum)

  • M8 nuts (x8)

  • M8 washers (x8)

  • ½ inch BSP hose adapter fittings for the inlet and outlet manifolds, I use 10mm hose for the inlet, 16mm for the outlet.

3 inch Net cups (x11)

Some print in place sacrificial layers will need to be removed:

  1. FRAME - Holes for the M8 threaded bar - Use an 8mm drill bit

  2. TOP MANIFOLD - Centre feed tube - Use a flat ended screwdriver or countersink bit

  3. PODS - Top of net cup socket and mounting holes - Use a sharp blade.

CHANGE LOG  7/11/25:

Updates to the TOP Manifold, now fixed to the frame in a similar way to the Lower manifold using two M5x40 Buttonhead cap screws. also includes a new top frame section to affix the manifold onto.

Other changes include refined fluid channels and agitator nozzles for even flow distribution.

CHANGE LOG:

Update to the TOP Manifold agitators, the centre agitator is marked.

Here is the pump I have been using without any issues:

I recommend using at least 25W

Thank you for the interest and support!

If you would like to buy me a coffee for my efforts, you can do so @ paypal.me/handfullofnuts

Contact me if you would like to purchase this system for commercial use, I would be more than happy to release the STEP/CAD files for a small fee.
