DAS (Direct Attached Storage)

It's a case for external HDDs or SSDs using the Dell power edge r320 caddys (and a 55mm fan).

Everey version has a hole and space in the back for a usb-c connector to power the fan and some leds.

It is accessable from the back using a sata / sas to usb or esatap/satap adapter. 

The side panel, thats reflecting light can ether be printed or lasercut. I lasercut the two pieces out of 5mm thick acrylic glass but 3mm thick acrylic glass works as well. After lasercutting it I put foil on it, that you can only see though one side, if theres more light outside of it.

⚠ just the power from a usb to sata or sas adapter may not be enough to power some HDDs

There are three types of case:

A version with a fan (55mm) to cool the air in the case

A version without a fan for a better look

A version with a fan (55mm) but mirrored so the drives lay on the top (like on the pictures)
