Description

I just changed from a 20 year old Genie to a new Chamberlain B750 with a quiet belt drive so here comes a new shield design.

I looked around and didn't see any commercial units that I couldn't think of a way to get around so I made my own. It snaps in place and if you're tall enough you can put in on in a few seconds. I cut my cord short so you can't just take a coat hanger and latch on to the cable handle which is easier than trying to actually get hold of the hook.

I usually don't mention how to print items but in this case you want the tracks to lay the long way so that their is enough strength to allow the sides to open up a little to slide past a bulge to hold itself in place. Print the way if comes up and add supports. Their is a hole to stick a pin in if feel the need to keep it secure.

This is a no brainer if you have a belt drive Chamberlain garage door.

Cheers
