Description
I needed to create a v-belt pulley on my Jet BD920 hobby lathe and my old eyes had trouble stepping over 2.34 mm 6 times with a scribed mark so I did a quick 3D print.
If you have this lathe then the pictures should make it clear how to install and use it. This is for the common Chinese calipers like Harbor Freight sells. It uses lots of small 8mm magnets to hold in place allowing quick removal and adjustment. The magnets are sold on Amazon 35 for less than 10 dollars when this was published.
The caliper holder on the rail slide was made separate to allow you to get the caliper all lined up properly and glue that part in place with the appropriate glue. I printed with ABS and use Duco cement. It uses 3 6-32 screws with the ends ground to a 45 degree taper. They should self tap but if you have a 6-32 tap you can tap the holes first. Tightened each screw slowly while slide the holder back and forth. When that screw becomes tight back it off and do the other 2 screws. It's plastic so go easy. Just takes a little turn to snug it up on the rail.

Glue in the magnets, best to do them in a manner to keep them from jumping together, they are quite fond of each other. Polarity doesn't seem to make much difference by I tried to orient the group the same. Epoxy's best, CA or Duco works.
