MTB Bolt Head Dust Caps (TPU) – Protect Screws, Clean Look, Universal Fit

Tired of mud and grime filling your MTB’s bolt heads? These flexible TPU dust caps give your bike a clean finish and protect threads on frames from Orbea, Scott, Trek etc.

I designed these TPU dust caps to cover the hex bolt heads (e.g., T5, T6, T8) on my Orbea Oiz MTB — keeping dirt and mud out of the screws. 

With these caps installed, you can easily remove them anytime to access the bolts without first cleaning out packed dirt or grime. This helps protect not only the screws themselves but also the bearings and threads underneath, making maintenance smoother and easier.

Besides their functional use, they also give your bike a clean, aerodynamic look — no more air turbulence or messy bolt holes.

Printed in flexible TPU, the caps are durable and easy to install — simply press them into place.
While I designed them for my Orbea Oiz, many of the parts also fit standard bolts and components from brands like Shimano, Manitou or Fox, making them compatible with various bikes.

Printing tips:

• Print one by one and slowly to avoid stringing.
• Don’t print too hot — 205 °C gave me the best results without bubbles.
• Clean the print bed with alcohol for better TPU adhesion.

• Temp: not to hot to avoid bubbles I used 205°c for best results
